Story: Sojourner Truth, Abraham Lincoln, Walt Whitman, Sullivan Ballou, Frederick Douglass, Hanna Ropes, R.E. Lee, Henry Kyd Douglas of the 2nd Virginia), Henry Pearson of the 6th New Hampshire, and others tell of the horrors, loneliness and tragedies that made up the American civil war.
