Avenue Q

This 2004 Tony Awardwinner for Best Musical features colorful, “Sesame Street”style puppets with reallife problems and adult vocabularies.

Story:

Princeton, a recent college graduate with a “B.A. in English,” finally finds an apartment he can afford on Avenue Q. Wondering about his purpose in life, Princeton takes advice from his eccentric neighbors. At the same time, he encounters and begins to fall in love with Kate, an aspiring teacher, but struggles with his own fear of commitment. During Princeton’s adventures with his new Avenue Q friends, he discovers the true meaning of friendship and develops his own sense of purpose.
