A love letter to Broadway's Golden Age based on the cult favorite TV series of the same name.
Story:
New York doctors Josh and Melissa set out on a couples’ backpacking retreat to rekindle the flame, but instead find themselves in Schmigadoon, a magical town that’s a Golden Age musical come to life. The townspeople won’t stop singing, the bridge out leads nowhere, and the only way to escape is by finding true love—which may or may not be with each other.
Musicals referenced and/or sent up in the show include Music Man, Oklahoma, Carousel, Guys and Dolls, Brigadoon, Singing in the Rain, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Camelot, Sound of Music, South Pacific, and Pipe Dream.
