This 2000 Tony Awardwinner for Best Musical features three acts of dance, each in different settings and styles but all related to human relationships and connections.
Story:
The first act shows two men vying for the love of one woman in a French forest clearing sometime during the 18th century; the second act shows a woman fantasizing about escaping her verbally abusive husband while they sit in an Italian restaurant in 1950s New York; the third act shows a lonely Manhattan man enamored with and building up courage to approach a beautiful woman in a yellow dress.
