Story:
Alison’s childhood was anything but ordinary: playing in the family funeral parlor (nicknamed the “fun home”), tip-toeing around her father (at once volatile, brilliant, and enigmatic), and striving to discover her unique self (by reading books more than anything else). Years after the unexpected death of her father, Alison, now an adult graphic novelist, dives deep into her memories to explore her upbringing, family secrets, and sexual development in an attempt to better understand both her father’s path and her own.
